HOT LUNCHES

SCHOOL MEALS AT NORTHWAY

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible for a Government funded free meal as part of the Universal Free School Meals offer.  Parents are able to opt out of this and provide a packed lunch for their child. School meals can be purchased for children in Y3 to Y6 if parents would like this for their child. Packed lunches may be brought if preferred

All of our school meals are provided by Sefton Catering Service kitchen. The menus for school meals operate on a three weekly cycle. The cost of a school meal is currently £2.30 per meal.

We use an online ordering system for school meals called 'SCHOOL GRID'. This system allows parents to set up an account for their child, input any necessary food allergies or intolerances, pre-order their child's meal and for those children in the juniors - pay online. Parents can block order their child's meal or order on a daily basis. This ensures parents know what their child is eating and decisions can be made together. The system is very easy to use and its flexibility allows children to swap between packed lunches and school meals whenever they choose. To obtain a log in for SCHOOL GRID, please contact the school office.
