Reception have been focussing on his play 'A Midsummer Night's Dream.' It is all about a magic flower that makes people fall in love. In Reception we found out that we have our own magic wishing flower!
Ask me all about the cheeky wish Mrs Harrison's class made on Miss Veney's class flower!
We enjoyed creating a story about the magic wishing flower. We performed our story in a story circle, just as Shakespeare performed his plays.
Reception have been writing wonderful stories about their wishing flower.
Reception have been exploring William Shakespeare’s play, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream.’ We have had a wonderful time, taking inspiration from the ‘magic flower’ in the story, to create our pieces of work.
Reception have made a variety of observational pictures. They looked closely at real flowers and created their pictures using pastels or paint to add detail.
They have also created their very own magical flower. We used wire and tissue paper to create these flowers and painted a special plant pot to place the flower in.
Thank you to all who could attend tonight. We hope you enjoyed the children's hard work.
