Autumn 1 in Y2

Class: Y2 - Mrs O'Connor Year: 2023 - 2024

Please enjoy looking at the photos to see lots of fabulous learning that has taken place in our first half term in Y2. We have settled wonderfully into our new class and have worked so hard! Some of the things we have done have included:

• Using technology to make music in computing lessons.
• Learning about how Maghull has changed in history.
• Thinking about life cycles in science.
• Reading lots of new texts and writing about them in english.
• Learning to use tens and ones to add and subtract in maths.
• Learning new skills of balacing and moving in PE.
• Reading with our adults in class.
• Having an artist come to visit and teach us how to create self-portraits in art.
• Learning about Christianity in RE.
• A visit from a scientist (who was VERY familiar to one member of Y2!) and being able to touch the actual moon!

What a busy half term!
