Y3/4 - Mrs Farrington 2026 - 2027
Mrs Farrington
Welcome
I am Mrs. Farrington and I teach Y3/4. I am also the lead for History.
We share lots of our fun learning on the school instagram account each week. Please make sure you follow us on: @northwaymaghull
Food and drink
Every child should have a water bottle that they can access at any time during the day. This bottle should be in addition to a lunch time drink, if they are on packed lunches.
Your child may bring a nut free healthy snack for morning play. Please ensure that the snack is in their book bag so that they do not have to find it in their lunch bags.
Healthy snack
- Fruit
- Bread or toast.
We have children with anaphylaxis, a life-threatening condition that is caused by a severe allergic reaction to nuts. We ask you to help us protect these children by sending snacks for your child that do not contain nuts. Thank you for your cooperation with this; it is very much appreciated by the families of the children.
Year 3/4 PE
PE lessons will usually take place on a Tuesday but please make sure your PE kit is in school at the beginning of every half term and stays in school. ALL pieces of clothing, including school uniform and shoes MUST be named. Earrings must be removed for the lesson or covered by plasters provided from home.
Spellings
Your child will not be bringing a spelling list home to learn. We will continue to work on the Year 3 and 4 common exception words in class but they will not be tested on them weekly. A copy of these can be found on their class page of the website.
Homework
Children are expected to read three times per week to an adult and have their reading record signed. They should also complete sessions on Times Table Rockstars to practise their tables.
Y3 should know x2, x5 x10, x3 ,x4 and x8
Y4 should know tghem all up to 12 x 12
Your child has access to CENTURY learning portal. Each Friday a maths nugget will be set for them to complete. They should complete this before the next Friday. We have a homework club in school at lunch time for your child to use, should they need it. CENTURY also has an ongoing learning pathway so children can log into their account and carry on working on tasks and activities to support them at any time. Your child's password is in their reading diary.
